David Lindley & El Rayo X: Filmore Concert Poster (1988)
Legendary session guitarist David Lindley’s amazing finger-work and natural talent as a multi-instrumentalist has chiseled his name onto the granite monument of rock n’ roll artists for the ages, with his breezy lap steel solo on Jackson Browne’s epic Running On Empty and his intuitive work with Linda Ronstadt on her signature songs Love Is a Rose, Tracks of My Tears and The Dark End of the Street as well as James Taylor’s 1976 masterpiece LP In The Pocket have made his contributions indelible.
Before his heyday with fellow California artists that David Geffen would famously declare to be ‘The Avocado Mafia,’ he was a founding member of mid-1960s band Kaleidoscope and as the 1970s wound down he launched his own band El Rayo X.
On September 24, 1988, the band famously took the stage at Bill Graham’s Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco to play a show with Zimbabwean pop hits The Bhundu Boys.
Dimensions: Twelve and a half inches horizontally, Nineteen and a quarter inches vertically (12.5 x 19.25”)
