Warren Zevon’s Sentimental Hygiene (Signed)

Iconic rock singer-songwriter Warren Zevon, the genius who penned and played Werewolves of London and the mastermind behind Lawyers, Guns and Money, is best remembered as one the most influential songwriters to emerge from the Los Angeles music scene in the late 1960s and early 70s. Zevon first caught attention when his song She Quit Me made the score and soundtrack for 1969’s film classic Midnight Cowboy with Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman starring in the only major motion picture released by a major studio (United Artists) that garnered both an X-rating and Best Picture nod by the Academy. Zevon would quickly make his mark among contemporaries Linda Rondstadt, Jackson Browne, JD Souther and sundry Eagles, along with roommates Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, as he penned and played his way into rock n’ roll history. While 1978’s Excitable Boy would be his album that torched up the charts, driven by his signature tune Werewolves of London, his impact on the Los Angeles scene continued for two more decades. In 1987, Zevon’s sixth studio album was released on Virgin Records and Sentimental Hygiene became an instant classic with a cast of supporting musicians that reflected how truly respected and beloved he was, with the band REM, Brian Setzer, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers and Neil Young, among others, all joining as backing musicians on the album. This promotional poster was personally signed by Zevon during Virgin’s roll out of the album and has been ensconced in a fine wooden frame with detailed features and is presented in a double matted mount.
